Easter Egg Hunt

Our MOPS group had an Easter egg hunt this morning. The kids had so much fun! Andrew was an absolutely wild. He would climb to the top of the playground and jump onto the slide. There were plates of bubble solution to use wands with, but he stuck his hands in it and rubbed it in his hair. I had to rinse his head in the sink before we could leave! Evie played really well with all the other kids. I couldn't have asked for her to be any better!

Evie's artwork

As of Friday Evie can draw stick people all by herself. She drew these pictures for Nana while Andrew was at the hospital. I think she missed him!

Andrew

Andrew had an upper GI scope done this morning at Children's Hospital. It went well and the scope showed everything to be normal. We will get the results of the biopsy back in a couple of weeks to determine if allergies may be contributing to his acid reflux. Even though he still spits up, this means that his medication is working because there wasn't any erosion or damage. He didn't cry when I handed him off to the nurse and he even helped her push his bed down the hall. He was in the OR for 30 minutes and then in recovery for 30 minutes before they brought him back to us in his room. He had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia. He screamed and fought against us for about 45 minutes before he calmed down and had some juice. From what I understand this normal for a lot of babies. He ate a popsicle and was playing peek-a-boo with the nurses a couple of hours later, so he got over it pretty quickly. Thanks to all our friends and family for the prayers this morning!

Balloons!

We had a birthday themed MOPS meeting today. We shared some great kids' birthday party ideas and our children got to bring balloons home. Evie and Andrew were so happy! Andrew even pointed and said,"Boons!" From a little boy that just doesn't say much that was a big deal.

She was so proud that she had three balloons

It looks like he is screaming, but he is just really excited!

Love the hairdo the balloons gave Evie!

Cookies

Evie got to make cookies for the first time today. She had fun decorating them with green sprinkles for St.Patrick's Day. Nobody really liked the milk, egg, nut, wheat, and gluten free cookies (including Evie and Andrew). She got to have the experience though!

Giggle Goggles

Mimi came to visit today and brought giggle goggles for Evie and Andrew. Evie liked them and thought they were silly. Andrew absolutely did not want them on his head, but he had fun laughing at Mimi wearing them.

And the winner is...

Thanks to all of you who voted and made my decision much easier. Andrew will be wearing the striped tie to Auntie Laura's wedding, but I loved the polka dot tie too much to return it, so he will be wearing it on Easter Sunday.

A new ride

After a week of negotiating with 3 dealerships, Phil got an '07 Honda Pilot for me to drive. I am so thrilled to not have to worry about the van anymore. It had not one, but two brand new transmissions installed in the last three months and was in need of a new timing belt and new tires. I just didn't see it as reliable anymore. The new SUV has LATCH!!! I am so excited about not having to buckle the carseats in using clips anymore. For those of you without babies, Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren uses hooks behind the seat to install carseats instead of trying to get them buckled in with a seatbelt. It drives great, looks stylish, and is safe for my babies!

Help me pick a tie!

I put the kids in their wedding outfits to make sure they fit. Evie's dress is a little big through the shoulders, but she looks so pretty in it. She has white tights or lace socks depending on the weather, a white sweater (also dependant on the weather), and a pink bow for her hair. Andrew looks so cute all dressed up in navy corduroy pants and a blue oxford shirt! I need to find a tie to go with his pants and shirt, but that is new territory for me. I put up three choices, so let me know which one would look best.
