We are so very proud of Evie and her first wonderful report card. She has been talking about having lunch with the principal for weeks, so she was very excited that she earned it. We celebrated with a trip to Chuck E Cheese.
We took the kids to their Upward soccer celebration tonight. The kids had a great time running around with their friends playing and eating dinner together. Evie had dinner with Maddie and her parents. Even though we were 5 feet behind her this was a huge step for both of us. It is amazing how independent she is becoming. We got to a watch a video montage of the season (Phil and Andrew made it onto the video!) and the kids got soccer balls. I asked them if I could have a picture of them together and they both jumped into the pose below. A great season and great celebration!
I took Andrew to the Toy Story double feature while Evie was in school today. He loved it! Over 3 hours in the theater, and he made it through the whole thing. He had never seen TS2, so I think that helped keep him in his seat for so long. He just started watching the original Toy Story a couple of months ago, so it was perfect timing for us to be able to go.
Phil left this morning for a business trip, so I was getting all his stuff packed yesterday. Andrew decided to pack too. It was all very cute. After seeing the airport and planes this morning Andrew really wants to go on a trip!

Apparently these are Andrew's necessities: Buzz, bear, and the Leapster
I was really concerned about how Andrew would do with Evie being gone 5 days a week. There was nothing to worry about at all. He is loving being the only child 3 days a week. I felt bad when he was a baby that he wasn't getting all the attention lavished on him that Evie had. I guess now is when I get to make up for that and give him lots of individual attention. Most mornings we just run errands but he can turn those into an adventure. The two of us are having lots of fun!
Checking out "the Tennessee man on the tower". We can't go into Walmart without stopping at this display. We went to a different Walmart and Andrew was not happy they didn't have a Lane Kiffin display.
