Christmas Eve

The four of us celebrated together on Christmas Eve. We covered the kids big presents with sheets the night before because we couldn't figure out how to wrap them or hide them. It turned out perfectly because we could unveil them and see their expressions. We ended the day with Phil playing at both candlelight services at church. It was Andrew's first time to come with us into the sanctuary. He did great and it was so special to hold him and sing Silent Night while we shared a candle.

Evie got to go with her friends to see the new Princess and the Frog movie. She was so excited to share this experience with Elizabeth and Kate...and mommy didn't mind having her friends there too!

Our MOPS group took a few kids caroling at the nursing home this morning. Evie was her usual outgoing self and didn't hesitate at all. Andrew was a little scared at first but was singing and dancing by the time we had made our rounds through the rooms. We put smiles on lots of people's faces!

Santa

Andrew's preschool class got to go visit Santa today and have lunch at Chick-fil-A. He was very excited to talk with Santa. We took the kids to Dollywood last week, but when we were in Santa's workshop he wasn't there. This morning Andrew looked at me and said, "Mom, you took me to Santa's workshop but he's here at the mall." Apparently he thinks I have lost my mind!
