There are just some times that nothing I could have dreamed up to change a behavior would compete with the actual consequences. Andrew decided to climb our privacy fence and fell, getting a huge splinter deep in his hand. We had to go to the doctor to let them take a look at it. 30 minutes of numbing cream, 4 lidocaine shots, tweezers, scissors, and 2 pediatricians later all the wood was out of his hand. As one of the doctors was giving shots 3 and 4, Andrew was promising to never climb the fence again.

All bandaged up

Couldn't keep him down long though. He was ready for soccer in 24 hrs!

Oh goodness! Glad he is okay. I bet he will never do that again :) Wes said something similar about letting Luke ride his bike too fast in the driveway. He gave him a warning, then he disobeyed and did it again. Bam. Broken leg. Tough lessons.
