Birthday

We spent the last few days celebrating my birthday. We went to the UT-Arkansas State game on Saturday night. I haven't been to one since we moved back to Knoxville. On Monday my mom sent me for a pedicure while she watched the kids (such a treat!)and Phil took me out to dinner. I also took Evie to the allergist on Monday where we were told she has unmanaged asthma. It was nice to hear a doctor just come right out and say it. She is on a new preventative medicine, so hopefully it will be controlled. Tonight, Kevin and Teresa took us to dinner and then brought an ice cream cake for dessert. I have such wonderful friends and family!

Girls' day

Evie and I had a girly day after we dropped off Andrew at preschool. We went to the mall to renew my driver's license and since we were already there we just had to go shopping. Evie got 2 new hats and a pair of pants. Mommy got a couple of new shirts. Then we headed to Target to pick up a piece of posterboard and ended up buying 5 lunchboxes because they were on clearance for $1.98. Evie picked them all out: Hello Kitty, Disney Princesses, and Tinkerbell for her and Little Einsteins and Soccer for Andrew. Daddy is going to think we are crazy, but the kids are set for the rest of their preschool years for lunchboxes. We met Nana for lunch and had wonderful time eating and chatting. It was wonderful to be able to spend so much time with just Evie!

Quick trip

We took a short trip up to Kingsport this weekend. Phil and Jeremiah were supposed to go watch the Oak Ridge vs. D.B. football game, but decided not to sit in the rain to see it. We managed to squeeze in a lot in 24 hours anyway: planting flowers, a haircut for mommy, birthday presents for Andrew, and a morning at the dragon boat race.

Auntie Laura took Evie to the store and let her get a couple of mums and pots

Little stylist

Evie was "cutting" Andrew's hair for him today. No scissors, just a comb. He loved getting the attention from her!

Dance

Evie started her dance class today. She was a very good girl, so she got a gold star and a lollipop from Ms.Shelley.

Birthday Shopping!

Daddy took Andrew birthday shopping this morning. He picked out a dump truck, a fire truck, and a pack of rescue vehicles. Anyone surprised that they are all trucks?!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Andrew is now officially 2! We had a football party since it was the first gameday of the season. The kids played in the backyard for a little while. It was hot at 88 degrees, but when you compare it to the 102 weather a week ago it wasn't too bad. Andrew was very excited to get a cupcake. He didn't care about opening presents, and after he opened the dumptruck from Luke he just wanted to hang onto it. We are so glad our friends and family could come celebrate with us! He had a wonderful birthday!
